The sustainable family agricultural production is expected to boost the country’s output and improve its business environment, the economist Fernando Vunge has said.
The agricultural sector considered the core for Angola’s development and crucial for the diversification of the economy and creation of good business environment, is a stimulator for the development of other economic sectors through the creation of surplus production that can be transformed and traded.
According to the economist, the agricultural sector can be a solution to foster entrepreneurship.
Angola is facing a financial economic crisis since 2014 caused by the oil price drop, so to reduce its bad impact in the country, the government launched in January 2018 a programme aimed at diversifying the economy through the increase of domestic production with a view to reducing imports.
